Statement of Purpose
The purpose of the Associates of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet
of the Los Angeles Province is to extend the mission and charism
of the Sisters of St. Joseph while enhancing individual spirituality.
Mission Statement
As CSJ associates, we bring unique perspectives from our personal lives
to living the charism of unity and reconciliation. Relying on the mutual support
of Sisters and one another, we deepen our spirituality and work to extend
the mission of Jesus to the Dear Neighbor through prayer
and personal involvement.
The Associate Way of Life Associates strive to live and minister in ways that:
- Heal and reconcile;
- Serve all persons without distinction; participating in the work of the Congregation.
- Make known through their lives the Gospel they proclaim;
- Recognize and defend the human dignity of all persons;
- Promote justice with a particular concern for the poor.
They endeavor to share their gifts, talents, and resources to promote the Gospel message of justice, peace, and love.
